Your Missing Link Isn’t More Information—It’s The Right Expert

In 1978, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson lit up the screen in The Wiz, singing “Ease on Down the Road.”
This movie is the epitome of Black Excellence.
But the real genius of The Wiz isn’t just in the music. If you've seen this classic movie, Dorothy, the main character, is trying to find her way home. She is lost and meets several "guides" along the yellow brick road in hopes of meeting the Wizard. The Wizard is the expert that will help Dorothy succeed in accomplishing her ultimate goal.
Dorothy didn’t lack courage, talent, or even the will to work. She lacked direction. She knew where she wanted to go—home—but the "how" was fuzzy. Sound familiar?
You, too, have the passion. You’ve been building your business for the past several years, possibly while juggling a corporate, teaching, or consulting role. A strategist is a system thinker. They help you step back and see how all the parts of your business—brand, audience, positioning, messaging, marketing channels—fit together. They don’t just give you a tactic; they build you a map. A strategist helps you shape a Client Attraction System, align it with who you are, and make sure every piece works together.
A strategy is your overarching plan. It's your Yellow Brick Road. It’s the set of assumptions and decisions that guide how you show up and why. It’s understanding the problem you solve, who you solve it for, and how to position yourself so clients immediately recognize you as the solution.
Tactics are what you do day to day. Social posts. Email sequences. Networking events. Ads. Tactics are important—but without strategy, tactics are just random bricks scattered on the road.
Dorothy didn’t just need to walk—she needed to walk the right road, in the right direction, with the right guides.
The Real Work
